GLOW Season 2: Watch the Trailer

The annual crossover event between the CW superhero shows has become one of the most anticipated television events of the year, and this year is no different! However, this time around, we’re getting so many amazing new characters and storylines — Batwoman (Ruby Rose), John Deegan (Jeremy Davies), the Monitor (LaMonica Garrett) and more — that it’s hard to even craft a wish list. We’re already getting almost everything we want! Nevertheless, we’ve still got a few things we’d like Santa to bring us this December in the Supergirl, The Flash and Arrow crossover. If we’re lucky, we can get most, if not all, of the things listed below…

1. The Batmobile. It’s a tall order considering we’re only getting a peek at Gotham and Batwoman in one of the crossover episodes, but we’ve still got our fingers firmly crossed that we’ll get to see a shot of the Batmobile. It’s iconic, and since Batman will have gone “missing” in the potential Batwoman spin-off, it only makes sense she’d be keeping his wheels road ready while he’s away, right?

2. A Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin)/Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) friendship. There have never been two more happy-go-lucky, good-natured superheroes in the world than Clark Kent and Barry Allen, so naturally we’re psyched that they’ll be sharing some scenes in this year’s crossover. We’re not only desperate to see how this relationship develops, but we’re also crossing our fingers for plenty of bromance moments between the two.

3. A Justice League reference. Speaking of Superman and the Flash… While there’s obviously no real chance of a Justice League being a regular part of the Arrowverse (The CW is a force to be reckoned with, but it’s not a miracle worker), we still want a quick quip or comment about the League as a nod to fans. Superman and the Flash are two of the main members after all, and the Green Arrow and Supergirl frequently made appearances as well.

4. A Barricity kiss. Calm down, shippers, we’re not switching teams or anything. We know that thanks to the Freaky Friday-like swap Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Barry are going to go through that we’ll be getting a hilarious smooch between Iris (Candice Patton) and Oliver. It only stands to reason that the swap will throw Barry and Felicity together too. We’d never want these two to actually get romantic, but they did have a cute little flirtation going back in the early days of Arrow and The Flash, so we wouldn’t mind a Barricity kiss for old time’s sake!

5. A good explanation for not including the Legends. Legends of Tomorrow is sitting this year’s crossover out, and while that will definitely tighten up the tone and the pacing of this three-night event, we’re still a little bummed and confused. This “Elseworlds” crossover needs to come up with a damn good explanation for not calling in the Legends to help when they’ve been recruited for every major team-up before.

6. Arkham Asylum. Another Batman Easter egg we hope to see is the infamous Arkham Asylum, where Batman cages up all the crazy villains he fights. You can’t have Gotham without Arkham, so even if it’s just a sweeping shot of the asylum in the background, we’ll be satisfied. Seeing as we’re getting Deegan, who works in Arkham, we’re confident this is an easy ask.

7. A Mr. Freeze tease. We know we’re getting Mrs. Freeze in this year’s crossover, but c’mon, CW, you’ve absolutely got to tease or imply that Mr. Freeze is lurking in Gotham somewhere during the crossover’s Batwoman arc. If we want this to be a balls-to-the-wall backdoor pilot, we’re going to need a hint at more than just one iconic Batman villain. We’d also settle for Penguin.

8. An unexpected team-up. Every year we think we know which characters we want to team-up in the crossover, and every year we’re pleasantly surprised by a team up we never knew we needed. This year, we think we’ve got an idea of which meeting of the minds will amuse us most, and if we’re right, it will be the most nerd-tastic team up ever.

9. A Tommy Merlyn (Colin Donnell) cameo. Every year we ask for this, and almost every year we’re disappointed. Tommy’s death will forever be the saddest thing to ever happen on Arrow, so whenever there’s an opportunity to enter an alternate reality or dream sequence, our Tommy-senses start tingling in anticipation of a much-desired cameo from this stud.

The “Elseworlds” crossover will begin Sunday, Dec. 9 with The Flash at 8/7c, followed by Arrow on Monday, Dec. 10 at 8/7c, and Supergirl on Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 8/7c.
