The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting death of a man who was reported missing in March in Aurora.
The body of Artem “Art” Abramov, 29, was found at 5 p.m. Sunday in eastern Arapahoe County, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office. He was shot.
Abramov was reported missing March 22 in Aurora, the news release said.
Sheriff’s investigators are not releasing more details in the case, said Julie Brooks, a sheriff’s spokeswoman. Already, tips have been phoned in and many of them have turned out to be false, she said.
“It’s really important for our investigators to be able to determine who has legitimate tips and who doesn’t,” Brooks said. “They are keeping their cards close in this one.”
