Authorities are responding to a report of an accident involving a tractor-trailer and charter bus on the New Jersey Turnpike.
A report about the accident in the truck lanes near Bordentown came in around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. There were reports of injuries, though the nature of any injuries wasn’t immediately clear. Details on the bus passengers weren’t known.
WCAU’s chopper over the scene showed heavy damage to the entire front of the bus, which almost appeared nearly severed from the rest of the vehicle. The tractor-trailer appeared to have some back-end damage.
More than a dozen people were seen standing on the side of the highway along the guard rail as emergency crews responded. At least one was seen being taken away on a stretcher.
