We’re all in for a treat today, because Billy Eichner has teamed up with Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon for his latest segment of Billy on the Street. The Big Little Lies actress is game to talk about returning to the show for Season 2, her work on Legally Blonde 3, and how it’s blistering hot on the streets of New York City while they’re filming the episode.
The only problem is that for this installment of Billy on the Street, Witherspoon is being played by Saturday Night Live‘s Kate McKinnon. And honestly? Her performance is Emmy-worthy.
Major props to McKinnon, who gamely goes method for her role as Witherspoon, and answers questions and talks to fans on the street as if she is Witherspoon. She even sets up a dinner date with someone Witherspoon sorta knows from her time working on Nancy Meyer‘s movie, Home Again. However, some New Yorkers are onto the scheme and call out SNL star for her impersonation.

There’s no word yet on what Witherspoon herself thinks of McKinnon’s performance, but it’s only a matter of time until she takes to social media to share her opinion on this impersonation.
