Even though we’re still a few weeks out from the premiere of the fourth and final season, little teases for the next installment of 12 Monkeys have started to arrive, including this exclusive key art for the new season. Ready to start dissecting it for clues?
The adage “End at the Beginning” is emblazoned across the poster, and the Army of the 12 Monkeys signature ring has been replaced with a snake eating its tail, also known as an ouroboros. It’s worth noting that it’s probably no coincidence that the second episode of Season 4 is titled “Ouroboros.”

“Season 4 is the most emotional chapter of the 12 Monkeys story for obvious reasons,” says showrunner Terry Matalas. “It’s amazing to be able to give the audience a well-earned ending for all of their favorite characters. I don’t think there will be a dry eye by the time the final credits roll.”

12 Monkeys will air its 11-episode final season over the course of four weeks starting June 15, with three new episodes dropping every Friday for three weeks until the two-part series finale on Friday, July 6 at 9/8c on Syfy.
