American Gods has somehow overcome all the drama and its second season will finally make it to screen this spring. The adaptation of Neil Gaiman‘s celebrated novel of the same name will return to Starz Sunday, March 10 at 8/7c, Vulture reports.

The series chronicles the adventures of ex-con Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle) as he travels the country with the manipulative deity Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane), aka the Norse god of thunder Odin. The first season finale — which aired in June 2017 — ended with the goddess Bilquis (Yetide Badaki) driving toward the House on the Rock, a roadside attraction that is the setting for one of the novel’s most pivotal moments.

According to Vulture, the second season will see some of our favorite deities converge for a council at the House on the Rock that will wind up going terribly wrong. This event will send the Old and New Gods on trajectories that will eventually lead them all to Cairo, Ill. (and whenever the Gods all get together, you know things are bound to get chaotic). This season will also see Shadow joining Wednesday in attempting to convince the Old Gods to go to war with the New while also having to ward off Mr. World’s (Crispin Glover) inevitable attempt at revenge.

Will Season 2 be worth the nearly two-year wait and all the behind-the-scenes turmoil, including the exits of multiple showrunners and stars? We sure hope so, but at this point there’s nothing more to do but sit back and see what happens.

American Gods returns Sunday, March 10 at 8/7c on Starz.
