Big Little Lies‘ Season 2 trailer is finally here, and wow. Talk about intense!
We pick back up as the kids of the “Monterey Five” head to second grade, and the secret the ladies are keeping about Perry’s death is eating away at all of them. Renata (Laura Dern) seems to be earning her title as “the Medusa of Monterey,” and Madeline (Reese Witherspoon) is shocked to hear that people consider her unhinged. We guess telling a teacher to shove it is apparently one step too far? At least Celeste (Nicole Kidman) is still getting therapy; heaven knows she needs a healthy outlet to sort out her emotions.
The trailer also gives us some good insight into Perry’s mother, Mary Louise (Meryl Streep), who wastes no time confronting Celeste about the secrets she’s keeping concerning Perry’s death. “You left some things out, didn’t you? You were planning to leave him,” she says to Celeste. “And you learned of his infidelity just 10 seconds before he died. Oh, you left that out too.”
There are ‘No Plans’ For Big Little Lies Season 3, but That’s What They Said About Season 2
It shouldn’t come as a surprise, but Meryl Streep is obviously bringing it to this role.
