Dietland Exclusive: Kitty Threatens Stanley

Kitty (Julianna Margulies) crossed a line when she endorsed Jennifer’s radical views on Dietland and that unofficial partnership came at a great cost: her job. While she may have been demoted, the disgraced editor is not ready to give up her top spot at Austen just yet. In this exclusive sneak peek at next week’s episode, titled “Monster High,” Kitty tries her best to convince Stanley (Campbell Scott) to give her back her old position as he searches for a new candidate to replace her.
“I cannot take you back. You blew it, honey,” Stanley tells her.
But if we know anything about Kitty, it’s that she’s relentless when it comes to getting what she wants. Continuing to push Stanley, she takes a more forceful approach to getting her old spot back.
“You know all our computers were hacked? I hired an ex-cop who said it was Jennifer. They know everything. How do you think they would react when they found out that you silenced the only woman editor at Austen?” she warns.
While most would quake with fear at the thought of having Jennifer and her extremist man-hating cohorts as an enemy, Stanley doesn’t appear to be threatened by them in the very least.
“I am not afraid of them, or you. Especially not you,” he shoots back, forcefully grabbing her by the arm. By the looks of things, Kitty has more to fear than just losing her job and reputation.
Dietland airs Mondays at 9/8c on AMC.
