Everything We Know About Avengers Campus at Disneyland

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is expanding — and this time you can actually visit it. Over the weekend, at Disney’s bi-annual D23 Expo, we learned a whole lot about the brand new Marvel-themed land coming to Disney’s California Adventure at Disneyland, where guests will actually be able to join the fight themselves and help Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, and Peter Parker save the world.

The theme behind Avengers Campus is that the team is looking for some new recruits, and you (and me and everyone else) have been invited to join the team. Inside the land, we’ll find some rides (including the already open Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout!), new shops, and places to eat while interacting and mingling with all our favorite heroes from Earth, space, and beyond. Here’s everything we know about it so far.

There will be two Avenger Campuses. One will be at Disneyland Paris, and the other will be at California Adventure at Disneyland. As with everything Marvel, these two lands will be “connected” of sorts, with a connected storyline between the two different locations, so don’t expect to find identical things at each one. But this also just means you should visit both of them to get the full effect!

You’ll want to get in line for two major attractions. The first ride, a Spider-Man-themed adventure, will work as an interactive ride as guests try to help Spider-Man save the day. Enter the “Worldwide Engineering Brigade” — or WEB, for short — on the exact day that Peter Parker’s latest invention goes horribly wrong. He’s working on some little Spider-Bots, and they’ve gotten loose and started attacking the city. As guests, we’ve got to help him try and clean up the mess.

The second attraction will put guests right in a Quinjet and fly everyone to Wakanda where they’ll find some of their favorites Marvel heroes, and probably a few villains or two. Little information is known about this second attraction right now, as it’s planned to open during the second phase of Avengers Campus, with that date still TBD.

If you’re hungry, head to PYM’S. While we sadly won’t get any sort of Ant-Man-themed ride, we will get an Ant-Man-themed restaurant where the food has been “enacted” with PYM particles. Also, you’ll be able to meet Ant-Man and the Wasp in the area.

There will be more meet and greets galore! Doctor Strange is getting his own themed area, which is supposed to be a Sanctum in California. That’s not all, as every single Marvel hero was teased during the panel, including the likes of Iron Man, Captain America, and Black Panther — as well as everyone’s favorite mischief-maker Loki.
