Grown-ish is kicking it old school in a new promo for Season 2 which pays homage to The Cosby Show spin-off A Different World. That spin-off centered on Denise Huxtable’s (Lisa Bonet) college adventures — a direct parallel to grown-ish spinning off black-ish to show Zoey’s (Yara Shahidi) early adult years.

The new promo still features Chloe X Halle’s theme song “Grown,” but the cast moves through multi-colored rooms just like the A Different World sequence from the 80s, though its been updated to feature the grown-ish cast doing things more representative of their characters. Luca (Luka Sabbat) is designing clothes instead of studying and Aaron (Trevor Jackson) is leading a protest instead of checking out girls.
