Watch a Video Message From Killing Eve‘s Fiona Shaw
Watch The AMC’s The Walking Dead Midseason Preview | ‘New Enemy’
Killing Eve, BBC America’s genre-defying assassin drama, is one of the year’s best shows, but you can be forgiven for not having seen it. After all, it aired on semi-obscure cable channel BBC America this spring and was only available to stream for an additional fee on Amazon and iTunes or on parent company AMC’s apps, which are only available to cable subscribers. But that will change on Saturday, Dec. 1, because that’s when Killing Eve arrives on Hulu, a streaming service you probably actually use. So you can catch up quick (Season 1 is only eight episodes!) before Season 2 arrives next year.
Killing Eve stars Emmy nominee Sandra Oh as Eve Polastri, a desk-bound MI5 agent who becomes fixated on tracking down a sociopathic assassin codenamed Villanelle (Jodie Comer, who could have been an Emmy nominee). As Villanelle figures out that Eve is after her, their mutual obsession grows and they become twisted up in each other’s lives in increasingly complicated ways. It’s based on a novella series by Luke Jennings and developed for TV by Fleabag‘s Phoebe Waller-Bridge, a unique talent who makes the show darkly funny and endlessly surprising. It never does what you think it’s going to do. For that reason, TV Guide named it the fifth best show on TV right now.
