Friends, our long national nightmare is over– football season is back! The common practice is to schedule your entire life around that block of game time that your team calls it’s own and we’ve made that easier for you with a quick and handy breakdown of the opening games for kickoff weekend, Sunday Sept. 9.

But just in case you’re a diehard whose social commitments are in the way, we have plenty of streaming options to help you catch up on all the highlights of the season. Check out a free trial of Fubo TV which has all the best of this season’s NFL games and much much more.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cleveland Browns: The bitter rivalry (LOL) kicks off at Heinz Field Pittsburgh, pitting the most insufferable fans in football (it’s cool guys, I’m a yinzer too) against a franchise that is so pathetic I feel a little bad about destroying them. (Only a little though.)

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Indianapolis Colts: QB Andrew Luck returns to the Colts after injuring his shoulder while snowboarding (what?) as the team faces off against the Bengals at home in Indy. The Vice President is not currently scheduled to waste taxpayer money on a dog-whistle publicity stunt. Yay.

Tennessee Titans vs. Miami Dolphins: A storm-delayed opener at Hard Rock Stadium delayed the game for about two hours because it’s Florida during hurricane season. The internet says the Dolphins need to crush the Titans to start the season strong, but isn’t that what they say about every team, every season? Anyway, my husband is throwing things in the living room because the Steelers are about to lose to the Browns. I told you we were insufferable.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Minnesota Vikings: The 49ers are coming off of the longest active win streak in the NFL having won the last 5 of their 2017 games. The Vikings are current AFC North champs. FOOTBAW.

Buffalo Bills vs. Baltimore Ravens: All I know about the Bills are that their fans are crazy drunks (<3 u) and all I know about the Ravens are that they are the true rivals of the Steelers and as such, should be destroyed. If they could be destroyed by the drunkest team in football, all the better.

Houston Texans vs. New England Patriots: DESTROY THEM, HOUSTON, DESTROY TOM BRADY’S STUPID SMUG FACE AND THAT STUPID SMUG TEAM. AMERICA IS COUNTING ON YOU.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. New York Giants: The Giants are hosting the Jaguars at MetLife Stadium after a rough 2017 season that saw a substantial staff turnover in the off season.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. New Orleans Saints: A shaky Saints with a history of fumbling the season opener are hosting the Buccaneers at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. If they blow this, it’ll be the fifth season opener they lose at home in a row. Ouch.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Los Angeles Chargers: It’s the battle of the inactive players as the Chiefs and Chargers faceoff each missing a key player: Eric Berry for Kansas City and Joey Bosa for the Chargers.

Arizona Cardinals vs. Washington Redskins: Both teams bring new-old quarterbacks to the season opener at State Farm Stadium. Alex Smith and Sam Bradford may be NFL veterans, but they’re both new to their respective teams and that draws a lot of question marks.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Denver Broncos: The Seahawks are heavily favored to win in this rehash of the 2014 Super Bowl lineup.

Carolina Panthers vs. Dallas Cowboys: Let’s go Panthers, if only because I’m still bitter about that time the Cowboys beat the Steelers in the Super Bowl when I was 8. That’s all. A 23-year-old grudge. That’s all I got. Also, watching Supernatural’s Jared Padalecki meltdown on Twitter over Cowboys football never gets old. NEVER.

Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers: Ah, the crown jewel in the NFL opening weekend: Da Bears vs. the Cheeseheads. There’s just something so right about that matchup.
