This fall, ChiHards will be handcuffed to their couches every Wednesday with NBC’s “One Chicago” evening of shows: Med, Fire, and P.D.! Wrapping up the block each mid-week will be Chicago P.D. Season 6, where the long arm of the law reaches out across the Windy City. We’ll continue to follow the Intelligence Unit detectives and the uniformed beat cops of the CPD’s 21st District, in a series brought to us by Dick Wolf.
We’ll have an emotionally charged premiere episode, too, with the team still processing the death of Olinky (Elias Koteas) at the end of last season. Sgt. Voight (Jason Beghe) took it especially hard, punching the walls with the force of his grief and rage. Dawson (Jon Seda) and Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) had different takes on how Voight handled the situation in the season finale, leading to high tension between them. Cast members Marina Squerciati (Officer Burgess) and LaRoyce Hawkins (Officer Atwater) have said that they expect this drama to help shape and focus the season’s new storylines.
You’ll want to jump into Chicago P.D. Season 6 right from the beginning. Its debut is on NBC at Wednesday, September 26th at 10/9c. If you can’t make it in front of the TV that night, however, then you won’t need an alibi: you can stream the episode from NBC.com, Hulu, or fuboTV. Keep a sharp eye out for it!
