Alias fans are already giddy about the potential reboot, and now they’re getting a bonus present this holiday season: Jennifer Garner and J.J. Abrams are teaming up for another series together.

The Hollywood Reporter says that after an outlet brawl, Apple has given a straight-to-series order to My Glory Was I Had Such Friends, a limited series starring Garner and executive-produce by Abrams. It’s expected to arrive on Apple TV sometime in 2019. The drama, based on the memoir of the same name by Amy Silverstein, is about a group of women who came together to support Silverstein through getting a second life-saving heart transplant. Garner will also serve as an executive producer on the project, which doesn’t yet have an episode count.

My Glory Was I Had Such Friends comes fresh off Garner’s recent starring role on HBO’s Camping. The actress rose to fame on Alias, which Abrams created and ran from 2001-2006. Following the success of the ABC series, Garner transitioned to film, starring in movies such as 13 Going on 30, Daredevil and Love, Simon. This will be only her second series regular role since Alias wrapped over a decade ago.

This announcement marks another big blare of the A-list trumpet for Apple and Abrams’ second series for the service; he is already executive-producing a musical dramedy for the outlet with Sara Bareilles. Apple has also rounded up top talent for several of its other upcoming shows. Earlier this year, they announced that Steve Carell will join Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston for a tale about the off-camera drama on a big-network morning show. Chris Evans will also star in a legal thriller, while Jason Momoa will star in a futuristic drama from Steven Knight. And that’s only scratching the surface of Apple’s upcoming slate!

What we’re saying is, as you figure out your 2019 budget, maybe put aside a few dollars for an Apple TV subscription.
