If Lethal Weapon returns for Season 3, it’s going to look very different.

TV Line reports that star Clayne Crawford has been fired from the show, and the recasting process is officially underway for his character, Riggs, should the show get renewed for a Season 3. This decision was made due to previous complaints against the actor for inappropriate behavior on set. Deadline first reported last month that Crawford had been disciplined on several occasions for said behavior and claimed he created a hostile work environment for the cast and crew.

Crawford made a public apology in April for putting the show’s future in jeopardy, but it seems his mea culpa was not impressive enough to the powers that be to save his job.

The chance that Lethal Weapon will live long enough to see a third season is questionable, but if Warner Bros. is actively pursuing a recast for Riggs, that might indicate they’re more invested in keeping the show afloat than one might think.

For his part, Crawford seemed to take the decision rather well? Or at least he has a silly sense of humor about it.

You do you, Clayne!

Fox and Warner Bros. Television declined to comment.

Lethal Weapon‘s Season 2 finale airs tonight at 8/7c on Fox.
