A television series based on the Locke & Key comic from Joe Hill (Stephen King’s son) is finally going to happen. For real. The Hollywood Reporter says that Netflix has ordered a 10-episode first season of the show, ending a drawn-out development process for the cult comic adaptation.

Locke & Key will be a happy addition to Netflix as it shares some DNA with one of its biggest hits, Stranger Things. The supernatural series will follow three siblings, aged teen to tween, as they move into their family’s old house in Maine (of course). There, they find keys that give them supernatural powers and confront a demon who also wants those keys.

The latest saga for Locke & Key saw it in development at Hulu, which passed on the project earlier this year. Netflix is recasting the series, but is keeping Carlton Cuse (Lost) on as co-showrunner and bringing in The Good Wife‘s Meredith Averill to help him out. Previously, the comic was in line for an adaptation at Fox in 2010, but never made it to series. Universal also toyed with making it into a feature film.
