Actor Luke Perry is now under observation at a Los Angeles hospital after suffering an apparent stroke yesterday.
A representative for the actor confirmed in a statement to TV Guide, “Mr. Perry is currently under observation at the hospital.”
TMZ first reported that paramedics arrived at the actor’s home at 9:40 a.m. on Wednesday and transported him to an area hospital, following an emergency call that indicated someone had suffered a stroke at Perry’s address in Sherman Oaks, California. The Blast also confirmed with the Los Angeles County Fire Department that they responded to a call at Perry’s home on Wednesday morning. The site obtained an audio clip of the dispatch call in question.
The incident coincidentally occurred on the same day that Perry, who stars as Fred Andrews on The CW’s Riverdale, was omitted from the list of original Beverly Hills, 90210 cast members returning for Fox’s upcoming revival series.
When reached by TV Guide, The CW offered no additional comment.
