Free agent guard Tyus Jones is returning to the Memphis Grizzlies on a two-year, $30 million deal, his agent Kevin Bradbury of REP 1 Basketball told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on Thursday.

Jones, 26, was one of the main players on the Grizzlies’ bench who helped make Memphis the deepest team in the league last season. He provided a steadying presence to run the bench unit but also proved he could step up his role, starting 23 games after Ja Morant went down with an ankle injury.

Jones averaged 12.7 points and 6.6 assists while shooting 45% from the field and 39.6% from 3 as a starter, and Memphis was 3.8 points per 100 possessions better with him on the floor last season.

A former first-round pick in 2015, Jones spent his first four seasons with the Minnesota Timberwolves before signing a 3-year, $26.4 million deal with Memphis.
