Every May, networks announce their new fall lineups, including which shows are renewed, which are canceled, what new shows are heading our way, and when we can catch all these exciting comedies, dramas, and unscripted programs. Thanks to DVR and VOD, network schedules may not mean as much to viewers as they used to, but they can still be a great indicator as to how much faith a network has in a certain show depending on where it falls in the lineup. Now that NBC has announced its schedule for the 2019 fall season, let’s break down what’s changed and where you can catch your favorite shows.
The Voice will continue to anchor Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c, while the tearjerker hit This Is Us — which has scored a three-season renewal — will stay put Tuesdays at 9/8c. Following The Voice on Monday will be Jimmy Smits‘ new drama Bluff City Law, while New Amsterdam will air after This Is Us on Tuesdays.
NBC’s Fall 2019-2020 Lineup: What You Need to Know
All three One Chicago shows, Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D., are staying put in a Wednesday night block, and The Blacklist remains on Fridays. Law & Order: SVU‘s history-making 21st season will air Thursdays at 10/9c.
Thursdays will also be the home for NBC’s comedies, including Superstore andThe Good Place, as well as Bradley Whitford-starring Perfect Harmony and Mike Schur‘s Sunnyside.

MIDSEASON
NBC is waiting until midseason to launch new dramas Council of Dads, Lincoln, and Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, as well as comedies Indebted and The Kenan Show.
Fans will also have wait until midseason to see what’s next on Manifest (currently set to return to Mondays), Good Girls (scheduled to follow Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist in the Sunday night lineup),and the final season of Blindspot. Midseason will also see the return of hit comedies Brooklyn Nine-Nine andWill & Grace.
