Orlando Magic rookie Jalen Suggs exits NBA summer league game with sore left hand


Jalen Suggs, the No. 5 overall draft pick by the Orlando Magic, exited Thursday’s 108-71 loss to the Boston Celtics with a sore left hand.

Suggs had six points in 11 minutes before landing hard on a drive to the basket in the second quarter. He did not return to the NBA summer league game in Las Vegas.

Sam Hauser scored 21 points while making six of nine 3-pointers as the Celtics enjoyed a hot shooting night from long range in their third consecutive win.

Aaron Nesmith had 18 points and nine rebounds for Boston. Payton Pritchard had 17 points, 9 assists and 3 steals while making four 3s.

The Celtics made 19 3s.

Tahjere McCall led Orlando with 12 points.
