Sacramento Kings’ De’Aaron Fox out at least week after spraining ankle

Sacramento Kings guard De’Aaron Fox, who leads the team in scoring, sprained his left ankle during practice Wednesday and will be re-evaluated in 7-10 days, the team announced.

The Kings said Fox had an MRI, which confirmed the diagnosis.

In 45 games this season, he’s averaging a career-best 20.4 points with 4.0 rebounds and 6.8 assists.

Fox, 22, is in his third season after being selected by Sacramento with the fifth overall pick out of Kentucky in the 2017 NBA draft.

The Kings open the NBA restart in Orlando, Florida, on July 31 against the San Antonio Spurs.
