The newest vampire drama to hit The CW this fall is Legacies a spin-off of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals centered on Hope Mikaelson (Danielle Rose Russell), the tribrid daughter of Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan). This exciting new series will take place in Mystic Falls, nearly 20 years after the gang from the original series graduated from high school, so naturally, the question on everyone’s mind is whether any Vampire Diaries character will make appearances on the new series.

Julie Plec confirmed at San Diego Comic-Con that Sheriff Matt Donovan (Zach Roerig) will appear in the Legacies pilot this fall, adding that she’d also like to see Caroline (Candice King) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) show up at the Salvatore Boarding School for the Young and Gifted some day. The jury is still out on Caroline — we’ve got a feeling she might be too busy with “business in France” if her throwaway line from The Originals Season 5 premiere is any indication, but we think we’ve got an answer on Bonnie.

Kat Graham told reporters at the Television Critics Association summer press tour that she’s not interested in reprising her role or appearing Legacies. “Anything is possible, but I will say I spent eight years playing this character and I said to my fans last year when we got the Teen Choice Award that I felt like that chapter is closed. I say that with absolute gratitude and appreciation, but I don’t feel like reprising a character that was almost 10 years of my life. I’m very grateful, but I’m not interested.”

Legacies: Everything We Know About The Originals Spin-Off

Sorry, Bonnie fans! At least you can imagine that she’s not hanging around Mystic Falls because she’s too busy traveling to spectacular place all over the globe, since that’s how The Vampire Diaries sent her character off in its season finale.

Legacies premieres Thursday, October 25 at 9/8c on The CW.

(Full Disclosure: TV Guide is owned by CBS, a parent company of The CW).
