Forbes’ writer Paul Tassi‘s sleuthing uncovered leaked set photos showing a dog riding around in a wagon in Alexandria — and there may even be an episode explaining how the pooch became a part of the family.

The arrival of Daryl’s dog is the latest reveal in a series of arrivals and departures for TWD, including the exit of Chandler Riggs (Carl Grimes) in Season 8 and the departures Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) and Lauren Cohan in Season 9. With Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) subdued in the Alexandria Safe-Zone, Season 9 looks to be a calmer time for Rick, Daryl and the others, fostering the sort of collaborating community that could benefit from a four-legged BFF.
