Trees were torn from the ground and snapped at the trunk after a tornado tore through Queens Thursday evening. The NWS confirmed a weak EF0 twister touched down near St. Fidelis Catholic Church in the College Point section, traveling a path three-quarters of a mile long and 100 yards wide.
