Stephen Amell will definitely be picking on someone his own size in his first post-Arrow role. Vikings alum Alexander Ludwig has signed on to the Starz wrestling drama Heels, where he will be getting in the ring with Amell.

Deadline reports that Ludwig will play Ace Spade, the brother of Amell’s Jack Spade, as the two compete for who will take over the family’s wrestling promotion and continue their late father’s legacy. Ace is a hero inside the ring — a natural talent, he has the best shot of making it out of the small town of Duffy, Georgia — but he finds it difficult to live up to that status in his every day life. He’ll only escape if he can curb his self-destructive habits.

Heels is an eight-episode series, written by Michael Waldron (Loki) and executive-produced by Mike O’Malley (Shameless). Ludwig is best known for his tenure as Bjorn Ironside on the History epic Vikings, which will conclude its run with the upcoming sixth season. Amell is similarly wrapping up his time as the leader of the CW’s Arrowverse; Arrow will sign off after Season 8 next year.

TV Guide has reached out to Starz for confirmation, but did not hear back at press time.
