Where was the Jonas zone when the Jonas Brothers filmed their MTV Video Music Awards appearance on Aug. 25?
The new Asbury Ocean Club Hotel in Asbury Park, New Jersey, that’s where. Band member Kevin Jonas posted a pic of him and brother Nick Jonas lounging on a balcony of the luxury spot.
“Jersey boys,” captioned Kevin. Nick is enjoying a cigar.
The pic was liked by more than 294,000 followers, including by Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi of MTV’s “Jersey Shore” fame. The spot opened in early July. The introductory rate for the summer season started around $425 a night, with the penthouse suites renting for around $1,100.

The Jonas Brothers can probably afford it. Their song “Sucker” was a recent No. 1 hit. The guys performed inside the Stone Pony and on the boardwalk as part of the MTV VMAs, which was broadcast Aug. 26.

The track picked up an award for best pop song at the VMAs.
The Asbury Ocean Club Hotel is across the street from the Pony, so they didn’t have far to go. Upcoming shows for the band’s “Happiness Begins” tour include Nov. 22 at the Prudential Center in Newark and Nov. 29 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. They play Madison Square Garden on Aug. 29 and 30.
