Two people — possibly on bicycles — were mowed down by an out-of-control driver on Long Island, officials say.
The duo were hit just after midnight Thursday morning by a driver who kept going on Broadway near Lafayette Street in Greenlawn, according to officers. They may have been pedaling on bikes when they were hurt.
Paramedics rushed the pair to an area hospital, where one is suffering from serious internal injuries while the other is suffering from injuries not considered to be life-threatening.
Police are working to get a description of the vehicle.
