Three people were shot Friday afternoon in a bustling intersection in downtown Brooklyn, authorities say.
A senior law enforcement official says the people — a 31-year-old man, a 28-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman — all were grazed by stray bullets at Gallatin Place and Fulton Street just before 2 p.m.
The official said that it doesn’t appear that the men or woman were the intended targets in the shooting.
All three were taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Methodist Brooklyn Hospital and are expected to survive.
It’s not clear what led to the broad-daylight gunfire in the Fulton Mall shopping district, but video captured in the Citizen crime-reporting app showed police tape around a clothing store.
No one has been arrested in the shooting. Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
