rice

2 tbsp.
soy sauce

2 tbsp.
maple syrup

2 tbsp.
rice vinegar

1/2
small pineapple, cut into chunks

1 1/4 lb.
sirloin steak, cut into 1 1/2-inch chunks

red chiles, each cut into 6 pieces)

1/3 c.
roasted salted cashews, roughly chopped

1/4 c.
cilantro, chopped

2 tbsp.
lime juice

  1. Cook rice. Heat grill on medium-high. In bowl, combine soy sauce, maple syrup, and rice vinegar. 
  2. Thread pineapple chunks onto skewers. Thread sirloin steak chunks and red chiles onto skewers; brush with oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Grill kebabs, turning occasionally, 4 minutes. Brush with sauce and grill until pineapple is lightly charred, 2 minutes, and steak reaches desired doneness, 3 to 4 minutes for medium- rare. Transfer to plates.
  4. Fluff rice. Fold in chopped cashews, chopped cilantro, and lime juice. Serve with kebabs.
