The fire broke out at a home on 160th Street, between North Conduit Avenue and 140th Avenue in Springfield Gardens just before 3 a.m., police said.
Six other people were taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries, including smoke inhalation, the NYPD said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
