The Denver Broncos have reached an agreement with Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Vic Fangio to become the team’s next head coach, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Dan Graziano.
Fangio will receive a four-year contract that includes a team option for a fifth year, a source said.
The 60-year-old Fangio interviewed for the Bears’ head-coaching job last offseason before agreeing to return as defensive coordinator on a new three-year deal to work alongside first-year coach Matt Nagy.
Fangio has coached a total of 32 years in the NFL, with additional stops in Baltimore, Houston, Indianapolis, Carolina and New Orleans.
