Durant to sit Wed. vs. Rockets with ankle sprain

Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant will sit out Wednesday’s game at the Houston Rockets because of a sprained right ankle.

Durant left Sunday’s 115-111 home loss to the Phoenix Suns in the fourth quarter after turning his ankle and did not return.

Despite some initial concern inside Oracle Arena, Warriors coach Steve Kerr did not sound worried about the injury after the game.

“I think he’s going to be all right,” Kerr said after the game. “He had an ankle contusion, but I don’t think it’s bad. I talked to him briefly. He didn’t seem to think it was too bad.”
