The 70th Primetime Emmy Awards was, as it is every year, a star-studded evening filled with the highest highs and the lowest lows. Hosted by Colin Jost and Michael Che of Saturday Night Live “Weekend Update” fame, no celeb was left unscathed — and that was before we got to the actual awards portion of the night. As Emmys were handed out left and right, so were awe-inspiring moments that left us in tears and cringe-worthy fails that had us hiding our faces in shame. From Matthew Rhys finally bringing home an Emmy for The Americans to that insane impromptu proposal that brought down the house, 2018’s Emmys were a total roller coaster ride.
