The Englewood Police Department and the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force is searching for a bank robber and asks anyone with information to come forward.
The suspect targeted the Arapahoe Credit Union bank on 303 E. Hampden Ave. in Englewood on Monday at 3:10 p.m. According to a news release from the FBI, the man approached the teller, demanded money and fled the bank on foot.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 40- to 50-years old, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a heavy build. He was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt with an orange logo and a blue and orange Denver Broncos hat with camouflage on the back.
Police advice people to be on the lookout for anyone who matches this description. According to the FBI Denver division, a reward of up to $2,000 is being offered to anyone who brings information about the suspect forward.
Bank robberies are punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each transgression, and could increase if the offender uses a weapon in the commission of the crime.
