Former Detroit Pistons star Rick Mahorn will return to Detroit on June 22 to lead the expansion Enemies in the Big3 opener. The Enemies, coached by the former Pistons’ Bad Boy, feature captain Gilbert Arenas, co-captains Lamar Odom and Perry Jones, and players Royce White, Craig Smith and Frank Robinson.

The Enemies will face another expansion team, Bivouac, in the opener. Bivouac is coached by former NBA coach Reggie Theus and features Josh Smith, Anthony Morrow, Will Bynum, Shawne Williams, C.J Leslie and Dion Glover.

The league, a three-on-three league of former NBA players co-founded by entertainer Ice Cube, announced its opening week schedule on Monday. The Big3 expanded to 12 teams this season, and lowered its age limit from 30 to 27.

In Big3 games, the first team to 50 points wins.

Arenas, whose nickname was “Agent Zero,” announced in February on his podcast that he was joining the league. His guest on the podcast was Ice Cube, who told Arenas, “We’re looking for a player who can score [all] 50.”

“I damn sure gonna try,” Arenas said. He added that he didn’t want Arenas on his uniform, however, he wanted “Agent.”

This is the second go-round as a Big3 coach for Mahorn. In the Big3’s inaugural season, Mahorn led Trilogy to a 10-0 record and the first ever Big3 title. But Trilogy went 3-5 the next season and was dismantled. Mahorn became the coach of the expansion Enemies.

In the other games on the opening-day slate, defending champion Power will play 3’s Company and Trilogy will play 3 Headed Monsters.
