Steven Universe Future: Season 6 New Title Sequence

Another season of Grey’s Anatomy means a new selection of hot doctors joining the rotation, and one of the new faces of Grey Sloan in Season 16 is really good with kids; Richard Flood will fill the Karev (Justin Chambers) hole in the staff as Dr. Cormac Hayes, a pediatrician, TV Guide has learned. And Hayes couldn’t be showing up at a better time, because everyone and their mom is having a baby on Grey’s right now.

But you shouldn’t worry about Karev. He is still around, trying to turn Pacific Northwest into a competitive hospital. He hasn’t tried to hide that he’s bitter he was fired from Grey Sloan, though, even if he’s enjoying running things at Pac North. So, how is he going to feel when there’s a new pediatrician at the hospital that raised him — especially one as hot as this one? Yeah, Karev is definitely going to have thoughts, and it looks like this will be at least one win for Bailey’s (Chandra Wilson) team.

Of course, Shameless fans might recognize Flood as Fiona’s (Emmy Rossum) ex-boyfriend Ford, who turned out to be married to another woman throughout their entire relationship. He was last seen naked, on a billboard platform, while the Ghallagers tagged him with paintballs. Let’s hope Grey Sloan is a more welcoming work environment.

Deadline first reported the casting news.

Grey’s Anatomy airs Thursdays at 8/7c on ABC.
