Stating that cars and toys go together, HGreg.com is collaborating with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s annual Toys for Tots Program, allowing South Florida residents to drop off unwrapped toy gifts at any of the eight new and pre-owned car dealerships within the HGreg.com network.
Residents can drop the toys off until Dec. 11, and the toys will be redirected to children at Christmas.
HGreg president John Hairabedian said that especially this year, he was happy for his company to support the Toys for Tots program and children in the community.
“Helping to bring a smile to a child is a gift for us,” Hairabedian said in a news release.
The 4th Civil Affairs Group in Hialeah organized the program, which distributes new and unwrapped toys that the community and businesses donate. The toys go to underprivileged children of Miami-Dade and Broward Counties for the holidays. HGreg.com Orlando is also participating in a similar Toys for Tots program.
The Toys for Tots program includes more than 200 drop-off locations throughout the region, and local program organizers hope to exceed last year’s total donation of 74,752 toys.
