STEP 1
Spray the inside of a medium bowl with cooking spray and add the cereal mixture.
STEP 2
Push the cereal treat into the bottom up the sides of the bowl and let set until completely firm, 24 hours.
STEP 3
Using an offset spatula, slide all the way around the bowl to loosen.
STEP 4
Melt 12 oz chocolate in microwave on high, stirring every 20 seconds, until melted and smooth (check out our guide on how to melt chocolate if you need a little more help). Spoon into the cereal bowl and use a pastry brush to “paint” chocolate on the bottom and sides, let set (when set, it creates extra support).
STEP 5
On a 3-ft piece of floral wire, alternate threading 6 bunny Peeps and jelly beans up one side. Repeat on the other side of wire making sure to leave about 6 inches of space in the middle.
STEP 6
Carefully push open ends of the wire straight down through the lip of the rice cereal bowl, creating an upside down u shaped handle for the basket. If the rice cereal basket isn’t completely hard at this point, use a large spoon or ruler and lean it up against the wire handle to keep it upright while the basket continues to set.
STEP 7
Fill plastic easter eggs with cereal mixture and let set.
STEP 8
Form cereal mixture around the outside of eggs, covering only about 3/4 of it, and let set.
STEP 9
Once completely set, unmold filled eggs and pop eggs out of their surrounding cereal.
STEP 10
Fill the hollow eggs with bunny and chick Peeps.
STEP 11
Add edible grass to the basket.
STEP 12
Place eggs on top of grass.
STEP 13
Wrap ribbon around the open wire, then tie a bow. Cut any remaining ribbon.
