Dozens of people have died and hundreds more have been injured after a 6.2-magnitude earthquake shook Indonesia’s Sulawesi island early on Friday, January 15, the country’s disaster mitigation agency said.
The quake struck at 1.28 a.m. Jakarta time, with the epicentre 6 kilometers (3.73 miles) northeast of Majene city, at a depth of 10 kilometers, according to Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency.
