Intuitive Surgical stock rises after hours on earnings beat
Intuitive Surgical Inc. shares rose in the extended session Thursday after the surgical robotics company topped Wall Street estimates for the quarter. Intuitive Surgical shares rose 2.4% after hours, following a 3.8% decline to close the regular session at $522.29. The company reported third-quarter net income of $292.5 million, or $2.45 a share, compared with $298.6 million, or $2.56 a share, in the year-ago period. Adjusted earnings were $2.83 a share. Revenue rose to $920.9 million from $807.8 million in the year-ago period. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had estimated $2.66 a share on revenue of $916.7 million.
