Hard work pays off! Khloé Kardashian‘s trainer Gunnar Peterson gave Us Weekly a behind-the-scenes look at how the Good American cofounder is staying true to her get-fit goals.
Now that the reality star and Peterson are well into her post-baby sweat sessions, the expert says that the reason Kardashian (who welcomed daughter True on April 12) is seeing such stellar results is not surprising.
“Khloe’s work ethic, that’s what doesn’t change,” Peterson exclusively told Us at the Rolls Royce X Technogym at-home workout equipment event hosted at his Beverly Hills estate on August 30. “Pre-, during, post-[pregnancy] and she just stays and she gets it. She understands that [working out], it’s a lifestyle.”
Peterson explained that Kardashian knows that working out is not a quick fix and that losing weight and getting her body back will take time. “She’s embraced the process so it’s not always, ‘What’s my goal?’ Goals are great, but it’s about ‘What’s my process?’” he shared with Us. “And now I’m doing this and I’m enjoying it while I do it and the rewards sort of become, maybe not secondary, but you are definitely not only focused on where you’re going, you’re enjoying being in that moment.”
According to Peterson, the Keeping Up With the Kardashian star is also a model student. As for whether or not the 34-year-old has any vices that he needs to help her overcome? “Not that I know of,” Peterson said, adding that when it comes to her fitness focus, she is “pretty clean. Very balanced life. Very together.”
And it seems like The Revenge Body star is in the right fitness-focused hands. Peterson, who is known for his high-intensity workouts and luxe Beverly Hills gym, said that the reason celebs such as Khloé (as well as Kate Beckinsale) come back to him again and again is that his method requires accountability and delivers results. “Anybody I’ve worked with, I think the reason they seek me out is because they know that we’re going to get the work done, it’s gonna be safe, it’s gonna be as fun as that can be and they’re not gonna cut any corners,” he shared. “And it keeps them on the straight and narrow that they hold themselves to.”
