Awards season may have, like, just ended, but it’s already time to start talking about next year. NBC and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced Friday that the 77th Golden Globe Awards will air on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020.
It’ll still be a while before we know what to expect from next year’s Globes — will they again hire a duo of hosts, now that Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh have followed Tina Fey and Amy Poehler in doubling up on the fun factor? Will they again presage a completely nutty Best Picture race at the Oscars? Will there be another political statement of unity made by the guests?
We’ll have to wait and see as more details about the 2020 Golden Globes come along, but for now, at least you can mark your calendar for the booziest night in show business.
