Nicole Kidman Brings Nine Perfect Strangers to Hulu

Big Little Lies‘ second season hasn’t even premiered yet and Nicole Kidman is already planning her next collaboration with the team behind the hit HBO drama. On Wednesday, Hulu announced that it had given a straight-to-series order to Nine Perfect Strangers, an adaptation of the best-selling author Liane Moriarty‘s book of the same name.

Kidman will executive-produce and star in the series as Masha, a boutique health-and-wellness resort director who’s on a mission to help the nine strangers participating in a 10-day retreat. “However, these nine ‘perfect’ strangers have no idea what is about to hit them,” Hulu’s press release warns.

In addition to Kidman and Moriarty, who wrote the book that inspired Big Little Lies, the drama will also be co-written and co-showrun by David E. Kelley (Big Little Lies) and John Henry Butterworth (Edge of Tomorrow), with Bruna Papandrea and Per Saari on board to executive produce.

The streaming service also picked up The Dropout, starring Kate McKinnon as Elizabeth Holmes, live-action series Marvel’s Ghost Rider and Marvel’s Helstrom, and a cooking show starring Chrissy Teigen and David Chang.
