Police confirm they are investigating a Friday afternoon incident, where a woman sprayed six people on Manhattan subways with an unknown substance, as a possible hate crime.
The suspect is black, the victims are white.
Police are saying she sprayed them with an “unknown chemical substance.”
Victims believe it was pepper spray.
“She just walked up to me, literally walked up, maced me and kept walking,” victim Joshua Smith told News 4 New York.
