At least a dozen vehicle owners in Lakewood’s Belmar neighborhood woke up Wednesday morning to find their tires slashed “for no apparent reason at all,” according to the Lakewood Police Department.
The situation happened overnight at W. Center Avenue and S. Upham Street in a residential area surrounded by apartment complexes.

Photos of the incident show investigators taking notes next to vehicles with completely flat tires that have slash marks on them.
