Rock ’n’ roll and motorcycle racing are a natural fit. So when the wild minds at Roland Sands Design teamed up with Indian Motorcycle in 2017 to bring hooligan flat-track racing set against the thumping soundtrack of rock bands in the inaugural Moto Beach Classic, it was a smash hit. They did it again in San Francisco this summer, with the Moto Bay Classic showcasing cops versus hooligans, and now they’re going back to the original scene of the crime—SoCal.

Southern California’s storied Huntington State Beach will once again host the Moto Beach Classic, on October 27–28, 2018. The festival promises all of the above and plenty more, as RSD loops in the Surf City Blitz crew to stage an epic lineup of classic SoCal punk bands, along with motorcycle racing, custom bike shows, surfing, and moto culture.

Inside the festival is the Moto Beach Classic’s main event—the Super Hooligan National Championship series finale with 100 riders banging bars on the dirt track. Elsewhere on the sand you’ll find “The Architects of Inspiration Art Show by Husqvarna, which sports a curated collection of installations and bikes inspired by surf rock and moto culture. You’ll also have the Moto Classic Bike Show displaying each bike on the beach; the tag-team West Coast Boardriders Surf Competition; and, naturally, an epic vendor village. All of that will be backed by the biggest bands in Orange County punk history: The Offspring, Social Distortion, Pennywise, Rancid, Suicidal Tendencies, Bad Religion, Fear, and others.

A separate area just outside the festival entry will be called the Lot at Moto Beach Classic, and it’s free for the public to check out a slew of moto activities like the BMW Salty Spring Race featuring BMW R nineT bikes, the Bell Helmets Stunt Show, mini road races, OEM demo rides, and vendors. The Dunlop Kids Course will be there too to give the kiddies a chance to spin some laps in a safe environment.
