Nothing is more powerful than the Shadowhunters fandom — particularly Malec stans — and Freeform is ready to use that power to get out the vote!
The hiatus ahead of the final episodes has been a brutal one, which is why we’re so grateful that Freeform has blessed us with an exclusive sneak peek of Malec from Season 3B. Though it’s woefully short, we’re not complaining since we’ve been starving for new Malec moments since the midseason finale in May. The scene shows Magnus (Harry Shum Jr.) bringing Alec (Matthew Daddario) breakfast in bed on his day off, proving once again that boyfriends everywhere need to step up their game to get on Magnus’ level.
The point of the clip isn’t just to make you swoon over Malec, though. Freeform is hoping to get the attention of millennial and Gen Z voters this week in the hopes that this PSA and others like it will get them to “March to the Polls” on Tuesday. Freeform will also dedicate all of its on-air promo time on election day to a series of video spots informing viewers about how to locate nearby polling locations and deadlines.
