Summer TV is coming in hot with galaxy brain limited series and deliciously snackable dramas. This weekend alone, we have the return of TV’s trippiest comic book adaptation with Season 3 of Legion; a paranormal British spy thriller called The Rook; and a Showtime’s take on the rise and fall of the man who built Fox News, The Loudest Voice.

These recommendations courtesy of TV Guide are here to help you through your weekend binge. And if you’re looking for even more suggestions, head over to TV Guide’s Watch This Now! page, which has hand-picked recommendations for all the best shows you can start watching immediately.

1. Legion

Legion has been lauded over two seasons as one of the most innovative comic book adaptations on TV. Thanks to Noah Hawley‘s psychedelic auteur direction and a captivating cast, the FX show caught everyone’s attention only to take an abrupt left turn in the Season 2 finale. With an inexplicable shift in Dan Stevens‘ character (he’s starting the third and final season as a cult-like figure), fans are both worried and eager to see how the show will course correct in its final eight episodes. Only time — and some reality-bending powers — will tell what Legion‘s three-season legacy will be, but you won’t want to miss the wild ride to the end.

2. The Rook

Imagine waking up on a bridge surrounded by bodies, with no idea how you got there or even who you are. That’s how The Rook, a new British spy thriller with a paranormal twist, kicks off. Featuring a stellar cast including Emma Greenwell, Olivia Munn, and James D’Arcy, the Starz show follows one woman’s journey as she realizes she’s been burned by the agency she works. As she fights to stay alive and clear her name she discovers that she might not have been a good guy herself — her former career was built on tracking and containing super-evolved humans even though she was one herself. A twisty, super-powered thrill ride, The Rook promises to be the grounded sci-fi treat of the summer.

3. The Loudest Voice

Roger Ailes is a name that will live in infamy. The man who built Fox News and is credited with launching the political career of Donald Trump seemed on top of a bloodthirsty world of his own making, until suddenly he wasn’t. After decades of commanding absolute power, Ailes was ousted from Fox News in 2016 after multiple women at Fox News stepped forward with allegations that Ailes had sexual harassed or assaulted them over the years. Ailes died just a little over a year after losing his fiefdom, and The Loudest Voice (based on a book by reporter Gabriel Sherman) explores in vivid and often horrifying detail how Ailes (played by Russell Crowe) forged an empire by manipulating Americans’ fear of the other, and how he was brought down by his own creation. A must watch for anyone interested in the story of how the current political climate in America came to be.
