The Goldbergs is adding more ’80s royalty in Season 6 in the form of the man, the myth, the legend Rick Springfield, and TV Guide has the exclusive photos from his guest appearance in Episode 3. He plays Gary, the owner of Gar-y-oke’s, the karaoke bar where Erica (Hayley Orrantia) works.
The photos show Erica trying to settle into her new job, but things naturally go a little haywire for her when Bev (Wendi McLendon-Covey) and the family show up to see how she is doing. Everyone has had those embarrassing family moments, but can you imagine it happening in front of your boss at your job that you’re actually stoked to have? We feel for you, girl (but we also still love you, Bev).

Springfield’s appearance comes just after the Season 6 tribute to one of the ultimate ’80s rom-coms, Sixteen Candles. The only other thing we could possibly ask for is that the show make as many references to “Jessie’s Girl” as humanly possible. That’s not too much to ask, right?
