President and CEO of ThunderRoad Financial Donal Hummer Jr. will join the 2021 Powersports Finance Summit at 10:10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 26, at the Wynn Las Vegas. Hummer will discuss the influx of consumer demand for motorcycles and other powersports products, and dive into topics such as balancing inventory with growing demand, and strategies to continue the growth of powersports into 2022.

The Powersports Finance Summit is the only full-length forum in the industry for companies involved in financing motorcycles, jet skis, side-by-sides and other specialty vehicles. The event gives attendees the opportunity to hear from industry leaders while also networking with top powersports lenders and dealers.

Following a decade of decline in the powersports industry, the COVID-19 pandemic reignited demand as people looked for new ways to live life during the lockdown, evidenced by the fact that 50% to 70% of powersports purchases in the past year were made by customers new to the market.

ThunderRoad Financial is a full-spectrum powersports lender providing flexible financing solutions to customers, and contracts with more than 450 dealers across 28 states. Prior to launching ThunderRoad Financial in 2014, Hummer, a 30-year industry veteran, helped establish Harley-Davidson Financial Services, the first powersports-specific finance company, and oversaw credit operations and information systems while serving as general counsel for 14 years. He also established the powersports finance division of Evergreen Community Bank, FreedomRoad Financial.

Powersports Finance Summit attendees will have the opportunity to attend sessions highlighting dealer demographics and buying preferences; short-term lease and rental regulations; and strategies to simplify the funding process across powersport vehicle types.
